Only CO2 emissions are included. Domestic consumptions were calculated using the consumption of electricity and the CO2 emission factors (EF) of DAPEEP for 2022 (DAPEEP Study 7/2023): PPC EF: 0.43513 kg CO2/kWh, Elpedison EF: 0.43608 kg CO2/kWh, HERON EF 0.43599 kg CO2/kWh, Protergia EF 0.43606 kg CO2/kWh and Volterra EF 0.43606 kg CO2/kWh. For the respective emission abroad, were calculated using the electricity consumption and CO2 emission factors of the EIB Project Carbon Footprint Methodologies – January 2023: BULGARIA factor: 0.495 kg CO2/kWh, MONTENEGRO factor: 0.471kg CO2/kWh, SERBIA: 0.678 kg CO2/kWh, Republic of North Macedonia: 0.563 kg CO2/kWh and Cyprus: 0.438 kg CO2/kWh. The base year is 2014 where all 5 main buildings of the Group were included. Consolidated approach to reporting emissions based on operational control. Calculations for Group companies within Greece are market based, whereas calculations for subsidiaries abroad are location based. |

The location based coefficient of the energy mix of Greece, equal to 0.53323 kg CO2/kWh from the DAPEEP study (7/2023) was used. The sum of indirect emissions (Scope 2) for the Group is 336,104.79 tn CO2 eq. Note that emissions from RES are offset and in 2023 the total amount of guarantees of origin purchased corresponds to 100,000 MWh, therefore the avoided emissions are estimated at 43,608 tn CO2 eq. The ELPEDISON factor was used, i.e. it was assumed that the avoided consumption was made by Elpedison (100,000 MWh x 0.43608 tnCO2/Mwh = 43,608 tnCO2 eq). |
