In 2013, for the first time, focus groups, interviews, questionnaire surveys, questionnaire surveys, with the participation of key representatives from all stakeholder groups were carried out as part of studying the materiality of sustainable development issues. The materiality studies were repeated in 2015, 2017, 2020, 2022 and 2023 (scheduled to be conducted every 1-2 years) to better engage with local communities, assess impacts and create programs that meet the needs and expectations of stakeholders. The materiality study of sustainable development issues, which took place in December 2023 and was completed in January 2024, took place at the Group’s headquarters and takes into account 100 of the Group’s operating regions. In addition, qualitative and\/or quantitative surveys of public opinion in local communities (Company Reputation Monitor) are carried out at regular intervals.<\/p>\n

Surveys, regular communication and consultations, not limited to data collection when conducting the materiality study, are used to identify investments in infrastructure and other actions to benefit local communities and to understand significant indirect impacts at the local level. Evaluation of the findings leads to redesign of actions. In 2023 it was recorded that local communities expect support through sponsorship, with a focus on supporting vulnerable groups, health services, infrastructure implementation and environmental, sport and cultural actions. Actions that were implemented after surveys, consultation and communication with local communities are presented in detail and by country in 100% of the companies in this report (see Chapter Value Creation \/ Value Creation in Society).<\/p>\n

The operational planning of a new investment also provides for the study of the direct and indirect impacts on the local community, as well as for care where necessary. In addition, the Quality Management System Review: ISO 9001:2015 describes in detail the impacts as well as the risks and opportunities and the results of the company’s actions following the development programs that it has implemented.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
